Outstanding privately situated contemporary near downtown Stonington. Located on multiple acres w/ ample shorefrontage on the Stonington Thoroughfare, where seafaring vessels traverse close in front of Sea Change, offering unparrelled views of Stoningtons active ocean waters. With beach, ledge and large boulders, Sea Changes shorefront offers a bit of what every vacationer wants to experience in Maine. A large boat ramp and dock offer another venue to be close to the sea, perfect for mooring your own boat, or launching kayaks & canoes. The homes interior boast a rustic contempoary style. Wooded walls, ceiling, floors, and built-ins give that rustic warmth, while vaulted ceilings and large plate windows add the contemporary touch. The wide-open living and dining areas give a spacious feel, while the large windows over the kitchen sink and work space further expand that open feeling. The bedrooms are set up in a unique split plan. The master bedroom, with its own bath (full bath w/ tub & shower), is separated by a short hallway off the dining area - with queen bed. The other two bedrooms are off the living area, out a side door to the exterior, yet covered by roof overhang. Each of these bedroom have their own entrace, both sharing a bathroom w/ walk-in shower (full, two twins). All rooms have doors (and screen doors) that open to the wrap around decking. There is ample closet space and built-ins. While the house is immediately surrounded by soft green grasses, it is further surrounding by spruce clad forrest. A small creek runs along one side of the home, under a small footbridge, releasing on to the shore. It cannot be emphasized enough what a special property this is....close to town yet feeling you are far out in the country. The home and grounds are beautiful, and give that special feeling one looks for in a vacation property. Quite impressive!!
